Marion “Eddy” Copley, age 72, of Odessa, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018, in Odessa.
Eddy was born on September 28, 1945 to Marion and Maybell Copley, in Decatur, Texas. Eddy attended Ector High School in Odessa where he played baseball. He married his best friend Martha Hamil on December 4, 1972 and celebrated 46 years together. He was known to his grandchildren as “Pepaw” and Mason’s fishing buddy and best friend. Eddy was a jack of all trades and could fix almost anything as a mechanic. His main occupation was driving a truck and was driving for G & RG Trucking when he retired in 2014. Eddy loved fishing, dominoes, 42 and most of all watching his wrestling on T.V.. He was a husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Eddy is preceded in death by his parents Marion and May Bell Copley, sister Wanda Carol Sullivan and grandson Brian Dade Copley.
He is survived by his wife Martha Copley, daughter Martha Day and husband Johnny, son Marion “Eddy” Copley Jr, grandsons Marion Rueben Copley, Braiden Ray Copley, Mason James Leslie Copley and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 29, 2018 from 6-8pm at Sunset Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 4pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
