Cary Hurt

Cary Renee Hurt, of Odessa, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at the age of 61.

She was born in Midland, Texas, on November 27, 1960, and was a true West Texas woman.

Renee is survived by her son, Chris Ryan Wyatt; her two brothers, Chris and Robert Stone; many nieces and nephews and a very large extended family that will always love her and miss her dearly.

She graduated from Odessa High School in 1978 and went to work for her parents Bob and Dail Stone. With love in her eyes and the Holy Spirit in her heart. Renee worked hard, loved harder, and always, always thanked God no matter what. She loved sunflowers, butterflies, the bright sunshine, and anything yellow.  She grew up riding horses and grew to love travel, the islands, and the desert. Her and her husband Paul David Hurt owned property in Lajitas, Texas and part of both their hearts will always reside there. She was taught to love every soul she encountered, and she never missed a beat. She was loved immensely and will be thought of every single day.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mickey Munoz will be officiating.
