Abelardo Navarro

Abelardo Lito Lujan Navarro, 67, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 2, 2013 Sunday, February 3, 2013 beginning at 12:00 p.m. with a rosary to follow later at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2013 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Miguel Rodriguez of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Abelardo Lujan Navarro was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico to Arturo and Sara Lujan Navarro on March 14, 1945. He married Martha Caballero on December 24, 1966 in Ojinaga. He worked in various oilfield positions for most of his life. His hobbies included gardening and landscaping, caring for his pets, and enjoying time with his grandchildren.

Abelardo is preceded in death by his parents, Arturo and Sara Navarro sister, Lidia de Muniz and brothers, Gild Navarro and Ovidio Navarro.

He is survived by his spouse, Martha Navarro daughters and sonlaws, Leticia and Ernest Cervantes, Hilda and Eric Gonzales, Anabel and Mylo Spencer brother, Arturo Navarro sister, Armida Navarro and five grandchildren.
