Ada Beth Miller "Ellison"

Odessa

Ada Beth Ellison, peacefully went to be with our lord and savior Jesus Christ on January 28th, 2025, in Midland, TX.

 Ada was born in La Crosse, Kansas on December 30, 1932, to Lester and Ester Miller. She graduated from high school in La Crosse, Kansas in 1952. Ada worked on the family farm for many years. She even worked at a neighboring farm, was paid with a milk cow, and walked home at a very young age. 

On February 16, 1953, she married Clifford Chamlee and proudly had 2 children. In 1970 they divorced, then she stayed single for 15 years! 

Ada was a dedicated Christian, very independent, and worked a variety of jobs in Odessa, TX. She worked for Singer Sewing Machine Co, American Optical, Perry Gas Co, Wooly Tools, Compressor Systems, ECISD, then Nurses Unlimited for 16 years. Her favorite though was working all the events at the Ector County Coliseum selling cotton candy. 

On July 15, 1989, she married Earnest Ellison and moved to Seminole, TX. They loved to travel in their RV with Sam’s RV Club, fishing at Hoard Lake, visiting family and countless weekends of playing cards and dominos. Ada and Ernie enjoyed going to senior citizen dances no matter how far they drove. She worked as a "Pink Lady" in Seminole from 1995- 2010. They were married for 24 years until he passed away in 2013. 

Ada is survived by sister, Ann Chamlee of Dawson, TX; her son, Roger Chamlee and wife Daenna Chamlee of Brownwood, TX; daughter, Tracey Graham and husband Gary Graham of Eunice, NM; her grandchildren, Shane Chamlee and wife Jace Chamlee of San Antonio, TX, Melissa Chamlee Pruitt of Tyler, TX, Brit Chamlee and partner Laura Lunsford of Flint, TX, Chris Chamlee and wife Brittany Chamlee of Odessa, TX, Amy Brown and husband Matthew Brown of Midland, TX, Shanna Woodrom and husband Bryan Woodrom of New Braunfels, TX. She had twelve great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa. Graveside service will be the following day February 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell will be officiating.

Special thanks to the staff of doctors, nurses, respiratory techs at Midland Memorial Hospital in the OR and PCU, and Hospice of Midland for your compassion and care for our beloved Ada Beth.
