A.G. Fuhrman

November 27, 1919 — December 7, 2010

A. G. Cowboy Fuhrman, of Odessa, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at age 91.

Mr. Fuhrman was born November 27, 1919 in Clay County, Texas. He was a World War 11 Veteran, U.S. Army, 1st. Calvary Division. After his military service, Mr. Fuhrman married Betty Mataska on April 19, 1947, in Wichita Falls, Texas and began working in the oil field. He worked for F.W.A. Drilling Company for forty years and retired as Drilling Superintendent.

Mr. Fuhrman is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Arline Fuhrman brother, Paul and great grandson Michael Layton Stone.

He is survived by his wife, Betty daughter, Linda Stone and husband Lee Stone of Odessa granddaughter, Stephanie Whitworth and husband Daryl of Fredericksburg, Texas grandson, Mike Stone and wife Kelli of Odessa and three great grandchildren, Delaney and Derek Whitworth and Aubrey Stone.

Visitation is scheduled from 57 PM Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service, with Military Honors, will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 10, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Jimmy Braswell officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice House at 903 N. Sam Houston, Odessa, Texas, 79761.
