Alene Halfacre, 84, passed away Sunday September 27, 2009 in Odessa.

She was born December 8, 1924 in Lockwood, Missouri to Henry Author Polston and Flossie Lee Lasater Polston. She was raised in Mt. Caramel, Illinois. She married Norvel Halfacre on October 6, 1942 in Mt. Carmel.

She worked at Snap-on-tools, a clothing factory and Meisters Radio Factory. She was a member of Life Change Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Norvel Halfacre of Odessa; sons, Joe Halfacre of Odessa, Danny Halfacre and wife Joyce of Odessa; daughters, Pamela Robinson and husband Jerry Don of Morgan, Texas, Becky Walker and husband Danny of Odessa; ten grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother, Lyndall Polston and wife Jean of Odessa; and a sister, Blanch Grider of Abilene.

Visitation with the family will be from 4-7 PM Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 13588 West 64th Street, Odessa. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday September 30, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Matt Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Norvel Halfacre, Jerry Don Robinson, Joe Halfacre, Danny Halfacre, Danny Walker, Chuck Bullard, Dean Halfacre and Shane Halfacre. Honorary pallbearers will be Lyndall Polston and Dale Halfacre.
