Alfred Edwards

Alfred Herman Edwards, age 84, of Odessa, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at his home with his wife of 65 years, Wanda, by his side.

He was born October 8, 1926 in Vernon, Texas to Guy Herman Edwards and Lydia Jane Edwards. He married Wanda Rhea Carroll July 3, 1945 in Canyon, Texas.

He is preceded in death by one sister, five brothers, his father and mother.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Edwards of Odessa and their three daughters, Barbara and husband Eugene Rush of Hobbs, New Mexico, Alice and husband Charles Gee of Odessa, Texas, and Jeannie and husband C.A. Popejoy of Odessa, Texas along with five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one soon to be great grandson and one sister.

Visitation with the family will be 68 PM Friday, May 13, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
