Alice Learned

Alice Merle Learned of Odessa, Texas, passed from this life June 6, 2018 at the age of 90. She was born February 13, 1928 in Pontiac, Illinois, the daughter of Virgil Hale and Anna Willhoite.

Alice was the mother of four children, a member of the Methodist Church and a good friend to many. She enjoyed playing table games, challenging all comers and winning frequently. Her passion was garage sales, estate sales and collecting a wide range of treasures.

Alice is preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Wickham and Don Learned; her sister, Virgie Priest and brother, Hugh Hale; grandson, Christopher Buergey.

She is survived by one son, Gregory Wickham of Phoenix, Arizona and three daughters, Alice Howe of Yuma, Arizona, Laurie Wickham of San Clemente, California and Marilyn Buergey of Lakewood, Ohio; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a lifetime of friends.

The family of Alice Learned will hold a Memorial Service at First United Methodist Church, 415 N. Lee, Odessa, Tx, June 19, 2018 at 1:00 PM, with Reverend Karin Carlson and Jody Wallin officiating.
