Allen Carlile

Allen Dean Carlile, 68 years of age, of Odessa, TX passed away in his home surrounded by family and loved ones on April 18th 2014.

Family will receive friends and loved ones on Sunday April 20th at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home from 24pm.

A celebration of his life will take place on Monday April 21st at 5pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Donny Kyker of Jesus House officiating.

Allen was born in Thackerville, OK to his parents Etoyle Toy Nichols and V.B. Chick Carlile on February 4th, 1946. He graduated from Andrews High School in 1964. On January 5th 2001 he married the love of his life, Carol Nail,. Coming from a long line of Carlile, pipeliners, Allen ended his career in the oilfield as a supervisor for Basic Energy. However, he also established quite a reputation as a notorious golf, shuffleboard and pool hustler.

The union of Allen and Carol created a large family including 8 children, Gina Coffey, Larry Carlile, LeAnn Laman, Jimmy Carlile, Wesley Carlile, David Crotwell, Byron Crotwell, and Heather Hardie. He was blessed with twenty grandchildren, David, Chiara, Cassandra, Madison, Christina, Michael, Allen, Dillan, Cody, Chris, Hezikiah, Anistasia, Priscilla, Sebastian, Haley, Haden, Wyatt, Carly Jo, Jacob and Lily, as well as several great grandchildren. He is survived by two sisters Wanda Wood, and Brenda Scroggins as well as Lynn Adams the mother of 4 of his children. He was preceded in death by his brother, Milton Leon Best.
