A memorial celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Chapel in Odessa, Texas located at 6801 Business 20 with the Reverend Irving Smith of Victory Assembly of God, and Debbie Childers officiating.
Allen Lee Wilson was born in Winfield, Kansas to Edmond and Betty Wilson on July 5, 1947. He went to school at Atlanta High School in Atlanta, Kansas. He married Nancy June Cross on April 9, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He worked as a machinist for Texas Flange, PetroPlex, and then retired from WWL Industries in 2011, all of Odessa, Texas. He was a veteran of Vietnam and served in the Army. He was involved in Vision with a Purpose, a group near and dear to his heart that is dedicated to the restoration of Robert Lee, Texas, a community he loved. Allen had many lifelong school mates from Atlanta, Kansas whose friendship he cherished more than they will ever know. Anyone who knew Allen knew that he was a kind and generous man. He loved life and anyone who knew him as a friend was blessed. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, playing poker and fourwheeling with his friends, of which there are just too many to list, but know that he valued your friendship greatly.
Allen is preceded in death by Edmond and Betty Wilson and by his first love and high school sweetheart, Brenda Caven Wilson of Atlanta, Kansas which he married in 1966 and remained until her passing in 2004.
Allen is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Wilson his children by his beloved Brenda, Ronald Wilson, Robert Wilson and wife Stephanie, all of Odessa, Texas step children, Jendy Pelham and Justin Finley of Eastland, Texas his siblings, Linda Willard and husband Tom Burden of Kansas, Velda Smalley, Jerry Wilson and wife Tonia of Newkirk, Oklahoma grandchildren, Brytini Wilson Haley of Odessa, Ashilee Woods Arsenault of Austin, Meranda Woods, AJ Wilson, Kari Wilson, and Brendan Wilson all of Odessa step grandchildren, Taylor, Trent and Tanner Smart of Eastland, Texas, and we must not forget his Auntie Emma Twibell and adopted uncle Clyde of Eldorado, Kansas.
