Almeron Hayes

Almeron A. O. Tim Hayes, age 69, of Odessa, passed away Sunday evening, January 15, 2012 in Odessa, after a long battle with cancer. He passed away at home surrounded by his wife and daughters.

He was born May 5, 1942 in Putnam, Ct. to Alice Margaret Dolan and Almeron Olin Hayes, Sr. Tim met his wife Katy Kirkpatrick on a blind date while he was in the service stationed at Web Air Force Base in Big Spring, Texas. They were married for 48 years. Tim worked for El Paso Products and Turbines and Pumps for many years. He also owned Quikdry Carpet Cleaning Company. He was a member of the Eagles in the late 70s. Tim will be remembered for his sparkling blue eyes and his fun sense of humor. His granddaughters were his pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Al Hayes, Sr. of Putnam, Ct. his mother Alice Hayes also of Putnam, Ct. and his younger brother Billy Hayes.

Survivors include his wife, Katy Hayes of Odessa two daughters, Lisa Coe and husband Steve of Albuquerque, NM, Kelli Stotts and husband Michael of Odessa, Tx. two granddaughters, Gabrielle Henson of Odessa, Tx. and Samantha Coe of Scottsdale, Az., and a brother, Robert Hayes of Putnam, Ct.

Graveside service will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Scott Owens officiating.
