Alta Maass

Alta Marie Maass, 85, of Odessa, TX went home to be with her Savior on Tuesday, September 27, 2011. She was born on Christmas Eve, 1925 to Ernest and Nina Purvis in Atmore, Alabama.

Marie lived a full and happy life spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid card and bingo player, and she loved to tell stories.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George Maass, daughter Shelia Harris, and sister Eleanor. She is survived by son Wayne Maass and wife Robbie of Odessa, daughter Sharon Berry of Florida, 6 grandchildren, and numerous greatgrandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at University Park Baptist Church on Saturday, October 1 at 11 am and will be officiated by Pastor Wayne Maass. Funeral arrangements are being made by Sunset Memorial Gardens.
