Alvin Kenyon

Alvin Kenyon, age 33 of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012.

He was born on November 23, 1978 in Odessa, Texas to Verl Allen Kenyon and Karla Irene Brannon. He resided in Notrees, Texas, Odessa, Texas and Grosse Tete, Louisiana. He attended Goldsmith Elementary, San Jacinto Elementary, Cavazos Elementary, Ector Junior High and Odessa High School.

Alvin worked in the West Texas Oilfields, and offshore in Louisiana. He also appeared in Black Gold. Most recently he was employed by Republic National in Odessa where he enjoyed his job and the people he worked with.

Alvin was a great artist, enjoyed racing at Champion Motor Speedway with his dad. Alvin had a great sense of humor that will be missed by everyone who knew him. There was so much more to Alvin that could fill a book, as he has blessed our lives in many ways.

He was preceded in death by Alvin Papa Kenyon, Uncle Jerry Kenyon, and Uncle Joe Sizemore.

Alvin is survived by his wife, Lisa Kenyon, his inlaws, Patti and Joe Miranda, Matt and Jon Bartz of Blue Earth, Minnesota his son, Brett grandmothers, Ima Kenyon and Nora Sizemore his parents, Verl Sr., and Gina Kenyon of Odessa Ricky and Karla Smith of Possum Kingdom, Texas siblings, Verl Kenyon of Odessa, Star and husband Bubba Gholson and their children, Seth, Courtney, and Taylor of Grosse Tete, La. April and husband Toby Sanders of Odessa and their children, Tiffany and husband Jaime Udave, and their children Avery, and Alex soon to be T.J. Sanders of 29 Palms, California and his daughter, Olivia Sanders of Las Vegas, Nevada, Justin Reeves of Jarrell, Texas, Jeremy Sanders of Odessa, Robbie and wife Heather Richards and their children Blake, Kaydie, Kelsey of Odessa, George and wife Melissa Scaff of Midland, and Amanda and Jacey Scaff of Odessa.

Memorial services will be at 6:00 Pm Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
