Alvin C. Wilson, 89, of Odessa, passed away on January 8, 2024, in Odessa, TX.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, January 12, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday January 13, 2024, at First United Pentecostal Church with Terry Pugh officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Alvin C. Wilson was born in Ranger, TX to Edward C. Wilson and Bertha E. Emsley on October 19, 1934. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1953. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in education from East Texas State University in 1983 and a master's degree in education from North Texas University in 1987. He worked as a Vocational Shop Teacher for Midland ISD and Ector County ISD for 30 years. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church for over 80 years.
Alvin C. Wilson is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Wilson who were married 68 years. He is survived by his daughter, Jeannie Martin and husband Art of Lubbock; his son, Charles Wilson and wife Mary of Odessa; grandchildren, Marcia Herrera, Susan Patrick, Nanette Weems, Sarah Martin, Angelica Follis, Nicole Petit, Anthony Ramirez; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pall bearers will be Josh Weems, Shane Brown, Ryan Brown, Alex Prusinski, Wayne Green and Donald Ruppanner.
