Amado Carrasco

Amado V. Carrasco, age 72, of Odessa, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in his home.

Amado was born in Redford, TX, to Teofilo and Juana Carrasco on March 17, 1943. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the United States Air Force. He married Maria Cabello from Ojinaga Chihuahua on August 23, 1969 and they moved to Odessa to start a family.

He was a generous man with his time and willing to help anyone. He was also an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed restoration projects.

Amado is preceded in death by his wife, father and brother.

He is survived by his son, Amado Carrasco, daughter, Karime Baker and Husband Matt Baker, grandchildren, Zachary, Marissa and Samantha Baker, Mother, Juana Carrasco, Brothers, Gabriel and Teofilo Carrasco , Sister, Lupe Ohmes.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Thursday, February 25, 2016 followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am, Friday, February 26, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Church, located at 2633 Conover Ave in Odessa. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
