Amador Perez

Amador A. Perez, 65 a longtime resident of Odessa passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at his residence in Odessa, TX. He was born April 30, 1945 to Geronimo and Cesaria Perez in Devine, TX. Amador married Rita Martinez on July 8, 1967 in Odessa, TX.

He proudly served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1969 with a Tour of Duty in Vietnam in 1968. He was employed at Odessa Babbitt Bearing for 29 years until his retirement in 2007.

Amador loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson who was the apple of his eye. He was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed. Amador was a lifetime member of VFW Post 4372 and member of The National Rifle Association. He was a proud member of the Permian Football Booster Club and enjoyed watching MOJO football.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Geronimo Perez Jr.

Amador is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Rita Perez daughters Cynthia Perez and Veronica Perez both of Katy, TX grandson, Brandon Perez of Katy, TX brother Tony Perez and wife Delia of Odessa sisters Margaret Wheatcraft and Cesaria Chayo Gomez both of Greeley, CO and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Brandon Perez, Ray Dominguez, Chayo Gomez, Steven Paz, Michael Perez and Johnny Perez. Honorary Pallbearers are Tony Perez, Luis Paz, Ismael Rod Rodriguez, Silvestre Villarreal Jr., Sammy Paz and Danny Perez.

Rosary with the family will be on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel at 6:00 pm. Funeral Service will be on Monday, January 31, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton at 2:00 pm with Father Mark Woodruff officiating and burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
