Amparo Ponce Caballero, 81, of Odessa, TX passed June 22, 2017 in Big Lake, TX.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday June 27, 2017 at MidCities located at 8700 TX 191. Pastor Filo Galindo of MidCities will officiate the service with burial service to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, TX.

Amparo was born in Manuel Benavidez, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Guadalupe Caballero and Maria Urias Caballero on December 4, 1935. She married the love of her life, Juan Ponce on September 3rd, 1955.

She is preceded in death by her husband Juan, sisters Emma Caballero Grenado, Lazara Caballero Castro, Dolores Caballero Galindo, Estefana Caballero Castro, and brothers, Inez Caballero Castro, Cristoforo Caballero Castro, and Patricio Caballero Castro.

She is survived by brothers Federico Caballero Urias, Cosme Caballero Urias, Guadalupe Caballero Urias, sisters, Maria Caballero Ramos, Juanita Caballero Altamirano.
Children Ramon Ponce and wife Maria Ponce, Marissa Sanchez and husband Samuel Sanchez, Armida Aranda and husband Sergio Aranda, Javier Ponce and wife Grace Ponce, Jose Ponce and wife Patricia Ponce, Lucy Stevens and husband Terry Stevens, Juan Ponce and wife Sylvia Ponce, Hilda Nieto and husband Jimmy Nieto, Ymelda Ponce and Mark Kelly. She is survived by 30 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Pall-bearers are grandchildren, Valentin Aranda, John Ponce, Michael Ponce, Cameron Stevens, Erik Peña, and Daniel Peña.
