Andres Enrique Martinez

Andres Martinez, 23 of Odessa, TX passed away on September 23, 2023, in Odessa.

The viewing will be September 28, 2023, at 11am at Hope Alive Church. Recitation of the Rosary to follow at 7pm.

Funeral services will be held September 29, 2023, at 1pm at Mid-Cities Church. A burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Andres Martinez was born in Odessa, TX to Ricky Martinez and Marina Alcantar on May 14, 2000. Andres attended Odessa High School where he played baseball all four years and graduated in 2018. He continued baseball and education at Sul Ross University for two years. Baseball and CrossFit were his true passions as he was also one of the original members of the Odessa Strong Gym. Andre’s love for working out started at the age of 14 and developed into competing in cross-fit competitions.  The members of the gym were not only his friends, but they also became family. He also had a big impact on the youth hosting fit camps during the summer, training youth baseball players in his spare time and volunteering as a baseball coach for Odessa Baseball Association. On November 29, 2022, Andres became a father to a beautiful baby boy Micah Reign Martinez, and he always looked forward to coming home to him. Andres will always be remembered for his contagious smile.

Andres is survived by his significant other Xiandria Aguirre; and their son, Micah Martinez; his brother, Mark Martinez and spouse Erika Martinez; his dad, Ricky Martinez and spouse Norma Martinez; his mother, Marina Alcantar; his nephews, Jayden and Avian Martinez.

Pallbearers will be Jayden Martinez, Jamie Juarez, Danny Urias, Chris Jacquez, Pablo Navarrete, AJ Juarez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Micah Martinez and Avian Martinez.
