Andrew Berkley

Andrew Franklin "Frank" Berkley, 88, went to be with the Lord and the rest of his family on April 7, 2016, in Weatherford, Texas.

Frank was born in Weatherford, Texas to John W. and Susie Beck Berkley. He was one of six children: Avis and Johnnie Mae preceded him in death. Survivors include brother, John W. Berkley, Jr and wife Elaine; sisters, Rosalind Lamb and Janie Moore, all of Weatherford.

Frank was married on February 3, 1947 to Betty Jean Davis in Granbury, Texas. They had four children. Children, Pamela Jean Beam, A. F. Berkley, Jr., and Kaywin Nelda Berkley; granddaughter, Jeni Ayers and great grandson, Justin Beam, preceded him in death. He is survived by daughter, Beverly Hutton and husband Glynn, and grandson, Richard Beam and wife Jamie, of Weatherford, Texas.

He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as a systems technician after 37 years of service. Frank was a member of First Baptist Church of Odessa since 1954, was a Deacon and did all of the sound system and phone work there.

Frank was also a Master Mason and was a member of many lodges in Odessa, Midland, Millsap, and Brock, and a member of Scottish Rite in Lubbock and Ft. Worth. He was a member of Order of the Eastern Star in Odessa, and was a retired Reserve Deputy for the Ector County Sheriff's Department for many years.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm, Friday, April 8, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 4:00 pm, Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel in Odessa, TX with Masonic Services to follow.

Instead of flowers the family requests donations be made to Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, Texas, First Baptist Church Odessa, or a charity of your choice.
