Angela (Angie) Goodwin Bell

Angela (Angie) Gail Goodwin Bell passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022, surrounded by family, after a long, hard-fought illness.

Angie was born on October 26, 1955, in Odessa, Texas, to L.L.(Sam) & Frances Goodwin.

Angie graduated from Permian High School in 1974 and attended Odessa College and Texas Tech University.  She obtained her real estate and broker's licenses and loved connecting people with their ideal home as she attended hundreds of property closings throughout the past four decades. Angie worked with her mother at Goodwin Realtors and ended her 40-year career as co-owner of Bell Realtors, alongside her aunt, Glenda Baggett.

There was nothing more important to Angie than her family.  She loved spending time at family cookouts, holiday meals or birthday parties and other special celebrations.  She is adored her two sons and their families, and she loved being a Cici, which was her grandmother’s name.

She is survived by her sons, John Austin Bell and his wife, Alexis and daughter, Leyton of Monahans, Texas, Justin Turner and his wife, Valerie and son, Peyton, of Odessa; and her adopted daughter, Melanie Allen, and her husband, Michael, and their children, Graham and Addison, of Odessa. Angie is also survived by many other family members including her aunt, Glenda Baggett of Odessa; uncle and aunt, Tommy & Barbara Henderson of Odessa; aunt, Saundra Henderson Temple and husband, Bob of Arlington; uncle and aunt, Michael & Becky Henderson of Hahnville, Louisiana; uncle and aunt, Jim and Viola Goodwin of New Braunfels; uncle and aunt, Jerry and Judy Birchfield; and uncle and aunt, Douglas and Beth Birchfield and numerous cousins and friends.

Angie was loved by those gone before her including her parents, brother Sammy, uncles Reverend Cecil "Babe" Henderson, Jerry Don Henderson, and James Cranfill, cousin, Scott Baggett, and soulmate, Truett Newsom. Angie is now reunited with all these special people as she is now with her Lord who has has healed her and made her whole.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial service for Angie will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 1:00 PM, at Mission Dorado Church. Those who wish to send donations may do so to Meals on Wheels of Odessa or a charity of your choice.
