Ann Mcdonald

Ann McDonald, 75 of Odessa died at her home on Thursday, September 22, 2016. Ann was born April 11, 1941 in Sundown, Texas to Jean and AP George. The family moved to Fabens, Texas where she was raised and educated, she graduated from Fabens High School in 1959.

She met James Arthur "Pete" McDonald in Fabens and on March 17, 1962, Ann married the love of her life, Pete McDonald, at the First Baptist Church in Fabens. In 1966 the McDonalds moved to Odessa with their son's Gregg and Gary, Matthew was later born in Odessa. Ann worked as an office manager at the Peterbilt dealership then later at the Lithia Motors and Basin Subaru all in Odessa. She retired in 2012 to become a full time grandmother. She is a member of Grace Christian Fellowship in Odessa.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Pete, son and daughter-in-law, Gregg and Jana.

Survivors include her sons: Gary Robert McDonald and Matthew George McDonald both of Dallas, Texas. Her sister, Bobbie Jean Yates of Beaver Creek, Ohio and brother, Alden Price "Tiny" George, Jr. and his companion Sarah of Paris, Texas. Her grandchildren: Elizabeth "Grace" McDonald and James Gabriel "Gabe" McDonald of Odessa.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, September 26, 2016 at Grace Christian Fellowship with Pastor Steven Adair officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Ann will lie in state Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 12:00 noon till 8:00 PM.
