Anna Beth Pullin Whitley was born October 5, 1926 to Perry Allen & Mattie Christine “Kidd” Brookshire Pullin. She was 1 of 12 children & the last surviving of her siblings and their spouses. She married R. N. “Junior” Whitley May 1, 1942. She was known as Mom, Mamaw, Grandma, Anner, & A.B. by those who loved her most. She was a hard worker and eventually was a sporting goods store manager until she retired. She loved the Lord and served him even in the nursing home. Her favorite way to show love was with food. She was an excellent cook and loved to feed others. When she learned what someone’s favorite food was, she wrote their name next to the recipe and was sure to serve it at the next meal together.
Anna Beth loved dishes, knick knacks, photos, gardening, and cleaning. She loved to help others in any way she could, but it typically involved food. Her love for gardening continued until she was 92 and could no longer get down to dig in the dirt. Her love for serving others and the Lord continued until she left this life on January 3, 2025 at the age of 98.
She is survived by her son Weldon Whitley, of Odessa, TX; 1 grandson Glenn (Darlene) Whitley, of Robert Lee, TX; 1 granddaughter DeAnna (Ruben) Ramos, of Admiral, TX; 9 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Billie Ruth Bishop of Winters, TX, and Lois Bredemeyer of San Angelo, TX, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, R.N. “Junior”, daughter-in-law, Doris, her siblings and their spouses.
