Anthony Bustillos

Anthony Brian Bustillos, a Registered Nurse, devoted husband; loving father; and our beloved hero, passed on into eternal rest at the age of 40 on April 26, 2021 in the comfort of his home as a result of a long battle with pancreatic cancer; he was surrounded by his loved ones as he left his earthly home to be with our Lord and Savior in Heaven.

He entered this world on May 10, 1980 in Lubbock, TX, born to Ismael Bustillos and Diane Gutierrez.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda R. Bustillos, his high school sweetheart whom he met in 1997 at Midland High School, and on October 26, 1997 would be the beginning of one of the greatest love stories ever told, and later on February 14th, 2002 they were joined in matrimony; also survived by his children, Sarah B. Bustillos, Issiah A. Bustillos, Nathaniel X. Bustillos, Aliyah S. Bustillos; and grandchildren, Erabella, Kylan, Kyaden, and Kingston. Anthony is also survived by his father, Ismael Bustillos; mother, Diane Gutierrez; brothers, Gabriel, Ismael, and Memo Bustillos; and several loving sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, family, and an amazing army of loving and caring friends.

Anthony was an amazing, loving, caring, compassionate, Registered Nurse for 17 years who went above and beyond the call of duty. He was also a member of Odessa Christian Faith Center. One thing is for sure, Anthony will continue to be a light house for others who need hope as he lived every day by faith and not by sight. He leaves a great legacy of hope, faith, love, and strength that we hope encourages those who were a part of his journey and who will tell about it.

We like to thank everyone from Midland Memorial, OCFC, West Texas Oncology and our family and friends that have helped out in many ways during this challenging journey. It made things a lot lighter to handle and I, Amanda, am grateful because I was able to give my husband the loving care and attention he deserved.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Odessa, Tx.

A public viewing will be on Sunday, May 9th from 1 PM to 5 PM.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, and a celebration of life to follow afterward at Lawndale Community Center (9201 Rainbow Drive, Odessa, TX 79763).
