Armando Ruiz

On February 17, 2018, Heaven opened their gates to let our brother, Armando Ruiz in. He was 59 years old and peacefully passed at his home in Odessa.

Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Friday, February 23, 2017 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Fernando, officiant. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Armando was born June 8, 1958 to his amazing parents, Julia and Jose Angel Ruiz in Canutillo, TX. He graduated from Ector High School in 1976. Armando worked for Medical Center Hospital for 34 years, retiring in 2014.

To all who knew him, he was a very caring, loving and selfless uncle, brother, friend and coach. He was always there as a Father to all of his nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered in our hearts.

Armando is survived by his sisters, Hilda Ruiz of Odessa, Linda Barnes and her husband, Rick of Tucson, Arizona, Angie Sanchez of Odessa, Adelina Rodriguez and her husband, Joe of Odessa; 3 nieces, 3 nephews; 11 great nieces and 5 great nephews.

Pallbearers will be: Adam Barrera, Joe Rodriquez, Mike Barnes, Damon Solko, Christopher Ornelas, James Ornelas, Jadon Barrera and Isiah Welton.
