Ashley O'Connell

Ashley Nicole OConnell was called home to be with her Lord on December 13, 2010. She was born in El Paso on July 13, 1989, to Jaime Contreras and Annette Saldivar. She married Casey OConnell on November 8, 2008. They lived in Odessa where their daughter, Aniya Faith, was born. She was seven months along in carrying their second daughter, Brielle. She loved being a wife to Casey, mother to Aniya, and eagerly awaited meeting Brielle. She loved being a daughter, and big sister to Amory, Brandy, and James.

Ashley was very active at MidCities Community Church, often helping to provide childcare for events. She and Casey served in the childrens ministry on Sunday mornings. She enjoyed her friends and sacrificially gave to people in need through time and resources. She was a strong believer in Jesus Christ, and made it clear she did not care about material things because she had treasure in heaven.

Survivors include her husband, Casey OConnell, and daughter, Aniya Faith, of Odessa, Texas mother Annette Saldivar, father Jimmy Conterras, sister Amory Hurtado all of El Paso, Texas, and many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who felt like extended family.

Visitation with the family will be 46 PM Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday December 18, at MidCities Community Church.
