Aubrey Sutphen went to his heavenly home on the morning of November 27, 2020.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 11, 2020 at Greenfield Acres Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Skiles officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
He was born at Lees Store, Texas to W.A. and Jewel Sutphen on February 27, 1936.
Aubrey enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp., honorably serving during the Korean War. He was awarded the Purple Heart after being wounded in action.
He married the love of his life, Jerry Shearer on August 16, 1957. They were blessed with 63 years of loving each other.
Aubrey worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 17 years. Then he went on to be self-employed until his retirement in 2019.
He loved the Lord and faithfully served as a Deacon at the Greenfield Acres Baptist Church.
Aubrey is survived by his wife, Jerry; his daughter and her husband, Donna and Kelley Pearce; his son and his wife, Allen and Janet Sutphen; three grandchildren, Misty Turner and husband Micah, Quincy Sutphen and wife Lacey, and Kylie Ferguson and husband Alex; six great grandchildren; sisters, Sandy and husband Dan Brock, Brenda Jonas, and Janis and Carol Chowning.
Pallbearers will be Quincy Sutphen, Micah Turner, Alex Ferguson, Scottie Turner, Kolton Sutphen and Malakai Sutphen.
