Avis Shaver

Avis Shaver, age 95, passed away on January 28, 2018 in Odessa, TX.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, February 2, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 4:00 pm, Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Avis Shaver was born January 25, 1923 to Charles and Neva Stark in Duke, OK. She attended school in Wellman, TX. Avis worked as a telephone operator for 32 years. She was a member of several bridge clubs.

Avis Shaver is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Neva Stark; sisters, Genell Jones, Susan Lindley, Helen Spilos and her niece, Suzi Hickman.

She is survived by her children, Howard (Sonny) Shaver, Linda Isabelle, Donna White; grandchildren, Shelly Wilks, Dennis Shaver, Angela Roghair, Becky Shaver, William Isabelle, Jennifer White; 11 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
