Barbara Watt

1938 — January 1, 2020

Odessa

On November 22, 2020 God called home another one of his angels, Barbara Marlene Watt, age 82. Born to J.C and Rubye Nell Williams in 1938 in Sweetwater Tx, she moved to Odessa in 1959. Almost 50 years ago on January 8,1971 Barbara married the love of her life Jack Aaron Watt. They are now reunited and dancing in the sky to their favorite song, “Could I Have This Dance”.

Barbara’s passion for bowling led her to own and manage Busby’s Bowling Lanes. After selling her ownership in the bowling alley she devoted her life to others becoming a caregiver to the elderly and anyone else who needed help. She loved cooking and being in the kitchen, every Sunday she could be found in the kitchen making a giant meal for the entire family. Her golden heart made her the most loving and caring person to everyone she ever met, no one was a stranger in her eyes.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Brenda Marlene Alexander, Karla Janelle Austin (Gene), Dianna Kay Cox (Mike); sister, Cheryl Wilson; sister-n-law Jean Williams; granddaughters Jackie White (Travis), Cassie Lee (Clint), Lana Austin (Tracy), Melanie McDaniel, and Lisa Clark (Michael and kids); grandsons, Larry Davidson (Tara), Daniel Cox (LeeAnn), Phillip Davidson, Stacy Wilson (Katie and kids) Charles Alexander, and Eric Foote (Charise); great grandchildren, Mckinzee, Brittney, Harley, Avy, Aaronray, Gregg, Casey, Arron, Caleb, Kysen, Tate, Joshua, Coltyn, and Tyler.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her daddy and mother, son Billy Jay Davidson, son-in-law Charlie Alexander, brother Douglas William, brother-in-law Beau Wilson, grandson Toby Foote and great grandson Travis James Davidson.

The family is requesting in lieu of flowers to please make a donation in Barbara’s honor to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org/donate or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America at alzfdn.org/donate.

1 Corinthians 10:13. “God will not give you more than you can bear”

No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful., who will not allow you tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way to escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.
