Bart Burdick

Bart Dewayne Burdick, 48, passed away on December 25, 2008 in Midland Memorial Hospital.

He was born on October 16, 1960 in Denver City, Texas to James and Leo Burdick. He married Vija A. Massey on August 10, 2008 in Odessa, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Leo Burdick; brother, Bobby Burdick; and daughter, Jennifer Burdick.

Bart is survived by his wife, Vija A. Massey Burdick of the home; her children, Ashley and Quentin Love of the home, Shawn Hogg and his wife, Amber of Odessa, TX, and Casey Hogg of Odessa, TX. Bart also leaves behind one sister, Telisa Widman and her husband, Wayne of Hobbs, NM; their three children, Robert Widman and wife, Armet of Hobbs, NM, Jamie Widman of Ft. Worth, TX, and Justin Widman of Hobbs, NM. Also left behind are numerous extended family members and friends.

Bart very much enjoyed being a Brother in the Cossacks Motorcycle Club, Goldsmith Chapter. He loved riding his motorcycle and being free. Bart loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and hanging out with all of his friends and family. He will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 29, 2008 at the Westview Church of God, 2105 N. Moss Ave, Odessa, TX 79764.
