Benjamin Gordon

Benjamin Ben Gordon passed away Easter Sunday April 12, 2009 in Odessa.

He was born June 17, 1935 in Fairfield, Texas to J.M. Gordon and Lela Page Gordon. He married Jane Taylor on May 1, 1957 in Post, Texas. Mr. Gordon has lived in Odessa since 1963, where he owned his own welding and machine shop. He loved spending time with his family, and was a devote Christian who reverently loved and feared the Lord. He enjoyed metal detecting and cooking. Three words that sum up his life are: successful, hard-working and loving.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Gordon; sister, Nova Gordon; daughters, Rhonda Grimes and husband Michael Grimes and Gina Gordon; grandchildren, Ben Marts and wife Julie Marts, Mandy Marts, Stephanie Marts and Taylor Marts.

Visitation with the family will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday, April 14, 2009 in Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
