Benjamin Theodore Kruth, May 17, 1985 - March 13, 2017, died at the young age of 31. He leaves behind his mother, Betsy G. Kruth, who loved him beyond comprehension; his sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and Jeremy Lobb, his greatest supporters; his father, Ted Kruth; and his beloved beautiful nieces, Kayla and Ashlyn. How they loved their ‘Uncle Bennie!' And ‘Gramma Margaret' Lowe who loved him like her own.
Ben was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, but was in Midland, Texas at the time of his death. Ben lived many places throughout his life, but Alaska remained his home. He was hoping to get back to Alaska.
Ben attended O'Malley Elementary School, Hanshew Middle School and Service High School where he served as Freshman Class President and played Center on the football team.
Ben was a very unique and special person. He had a personality and friendliness almost beyond belief. He had a very special gift with people. He never met a stranger.
He worked several years at the ARC of Anchorage, a center serving clients with developmental disabilities. He related very well to the people and continued to have a soft spot in his heart for the less fortunate. He later went into construction and worked as a roofer for a while, and then a carpenter.
He loved Legos, football, downhill skiing, golf, Bob Marley, card games and chess, grilled cheese sandwiches, the San Diego Chargers, and Liverpool Soccer. Ben was also very artistic and loved to draw and create things. Among his many interests, he cherished most his little nieces!
