Benjamin Ruiz

Benjamin Paul Ruiz, 22 of Odessa, was welcomed home by his sister Kiana Ornelas, Grandfather Ysmael Ruiz, Grandmother Cecilia Ornelas, and his beloved dog Pepper, on Thursday April 16, 2009.

Ben was born August 14, 1986, in Odessa Texas, to Jose Manuel Ruiz and Diana M. Ornelas. He graduated from ECISD Career Center in 2004. He enjoyed autocad golf.

Ben acquired many caring friends over the years. He was a very creative young man, who cherished his time spent on his hobbies. He loved drawing, working on his truck, fishing, camping, but most of all he enjoyed living life to the fullest.

Those who are left to cherish his memories are, Father Jose Manuel Ruiz, Mother Diana M. Ornelas, Step Father David Ornelas Jr., Brothers Justin Marc Ruiz, David Ornelas III, Sister Cosette Ornelas, Grandmother Santos Ruiz, Grandparents Apolonio and Agapita Munoz, Grandfather David Ornelas, Sr. and numerous relatives and friends and last but not least his dog Nesa.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday, April 19, 2009 in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be Monday April 20, 2009 at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father Mark Woodruff officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ray Rodriguez, Ricky Jacobo, Ricardo Guevara, Eric Quiroz, Eric Campos, and Mike Lopez.
