Bernice Lily Lujan

Bernice Lily Lujan Went home to the Lord peacefully on Tuesday, March 19th in Odessa, Texas. 

Visitation will be Monday, March 24th, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 25th, 2025,  at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Bernice Lujan was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Victor Rael and Silveria Torres on July 4, 1949.

She loved shopping, lunches with the girls and spending time with family. She enjoyed working on puzzles and sewing projects from time to time. She loved big holidays with lots of family, especially Christmas and Thanksgiving.

She was a mom to 5, grandma to 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Bernice Lujan’s was preceded in death by her loving husband Elario Lujan, her parents Victor Rael and Silveria Rael, her brother Richard Rael, Grandsons Al Lujan, Paul Stewart, and many wonderful friends.

Bernice Lujan is survived by her son Larry Lujan; her daughter, Anna Sanchez and husband, Ralph Sanchez; her son Joe Lujan and wife, Angie Lujan; her daughter Joylynn Phillips and husband, Darrin Phillips; her son Robert Lujan and wife Amy Lujan; her siblings: brothers Patrocinio Rael; Ernest Rael; and sisters Cecilia Garcia, and Ida Granados; grandchildren, Rene Lujan and wife Jennifer, Larra Lujan, Michael Lujan, Launadi Castillo and fiancé Britt Jones, Joe Lujan Junior, Elizabeth Lujan, Larry McNeil, Cristina Lujan, Madison Lujan, Nathan Phillips, Matthew Sanchez, Milani Sanchez, Divani Phillips, Mason Lujan, Ricky Lujan; and her great-grandchildren, Ella Nichols, Emily Lujan, Emmit Lujan, Makayla Lujan, Michael T Lujan, Aaris Rico, Tyler Lujan, Angel, Lisa, Rico, Aariel Rico, Rebecca Renee Lujan, Brixxon Jones, Veighlor Jones, Bristol Jones, Luke Lujan and Cayde Lujan.

We would like to thank all the wonderful doctors and nurses that helped take care of our beautiful mama during this horrible ordeal, especially Dr. Garcia at Medical Center Hospital.
