Bert Mcdonald

Bert W. McDonald, 79, of Odessa passed away March 30, 2017 surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Sharp, TX to Clifford and Leona Katherine (Gresham) McDonald).

Bert pursued his Bachelors of Business at Abilene Christian University. He Married Glynn Ferguson McDonald on May 12, 1967 in Odessa, TX. He was a career oilfield man and continued as an independent consultant until his death. Bert was a kind and loving family provider.

Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, sons Daniel Conn and Douglas McDonald, granddaughter Ashley McDonald.

Survived by his son Warren McDonald, Jr. and special daughter-in-law Sherri, his 3 loving daughters Teddye Creed, Diana Royalty, Gena Murphy all of Odessa, Kay McDonald, Bob Ellis McDonald and 2 brothers Donald McDonald (Cheryl) of Hamilton, Murray McDonald (Joselyn) of Luckenbach, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday April 5, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Chapel with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
