Bessie Elizabeth Freeman, 90, of Odessa, passed away on May 2, 2014 in Schertz, TX.

Visitation will be from 6:00 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Chapel with Jimmy Braswell, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.

Bessie was born in Colemesneil, TX. to Matt Owens and Emma Nance on May 12, 1923. She married James Red Freeman on June 24, 1944 and were married for 52 yrs. She was genuinely a country girl, a devoted homemaker and mother.

Bessie is preceded in death by both her parents, Matt and Emma Owens and her husband James Red Freeman and her daughter Ollie Mae Jody Freeman.

Bessie is survived by her sons James and his wife Debbie Freeman from Odessa, TX, Robert and his wife Charlene Freeman from Austin, TX and one daughter Rita and her husband Ray Cote from Schertz, TX six grandchildren, nine
