Betty Lois Fields passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2008 in Andrews, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Buster.
She was born February 17, 1931 in Stamford, Texas to Hugh Thomas Massey and Ella May Grigsby.
On November 2, 1951, she married Buster Fields in Stamford, Texas. They moved to Odessa in 1958 and raised their family there. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church for 40 years. She loved and served faithfully especially through her Sunday School class. She worked as a realtor in Odessa for many years both at Jack Cook and Assoc. and Eidson-Wasson Realtors. In addition to her church she was also active in the 4-H Horse Club with her sons and in the Odessa Sherriffs Posse Wives Auxiliary.
Her greatest joy came from her family. She dearly loved family gatherings-the bigger the better. Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will always be our mom-mom. We love you
Mrs. Fields is survived by three children, daughter, Bebe Glasgow and husband Bruce of Midland, son, Andy Fields and wife Linda of Andrews and son Scott Fields and wife Glenda of Odessa; 5 grandchildren, Jason Alexander and wife Brandi of Odessa, Holly Fields of Ft. Worth, Drew Fields and wife Candas of Midland, Daniel Glasgow and wife Robyn of San Antonio, and Kayla Glasgow of Austin; 4 great grandchildren, Courtland Fields, Jaxon Alexander, Colton Alexander and Lily Glasgow; 2 sisters, Lola Meek of Ft. Worth and Clydia Taylor of Stamford.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 and Saturday, July 19, 2008 in Sherwood Baptist Church with Clydell Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
A visitation with family is scheduled for 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, July 18, 2008 in Sunset Funeral Home.
