Betty Monzingo

Betty Bobby Monzingo, 81 of Odessa, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Manor Park in Midland.

Betty Bob was someone that made everyone smile.She always loved the simple things in life . we know she is curled up in heaven with a cup of coffee and a good book.

She was born January 23, 1928 in Kaufman, Texas to Oscar Webb and Flora Lee Webb. She grew up in Memphis, Texas, where she graduated from high school. She married Jack Monzingo in Memphis, Texas on September 27, 1947. They moved to Odessa in 1957. She was a charter member of Asbury United Methodist Church, a member of Epsilon Sigma Phi Sorority, the Ladies Auxiliary at Medical Center Hospital, and Meals on Wheels.

Jack preceded her in death on April 18, 2003.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Rocky and Vicky Monzingo of Midland; her sister, Donna Cooper of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Camille and John Wheelock and their children, Macey, Aubrey, Clay and Troupe Wheelock and Cody and Ashley Monzingo, all of New Braunfels and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, September 12, 2009 in Sunset Memorial Gardens with her grandson, Cody Monzingo officiating.
