Betty Williams

Betty Lou Williams, of Monahans, TX, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the age of 76. Graveside services will be held in Frost, Texas at a later date.

Betty was born on February 15, 1941 to William and Emma Bason in Corsicana,
TX and grew up near there. She married Bobby Williams on May 25, 1957. She
was a hairdresser for many years and owned her own salons. She went on to work
at Sprinkles Office Supply in Monahans where she retired.

Betty loved her family and loved family reunions at the lake. She enjoyed
genealogy. She took great pride in her grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Terri Welborn and husband, Bobby of Midland,
TX, Lisa Short and husband Roger of Vinton, LA; five grandchildren, Aaron Smith
and wife Christine, Bobby Shulte, Brandi Smith, Victoria Banks, and Chad Short;
five great-grandchildren, Colin Vaughan, Jordyn Smith, Ryan Smith, Addison
Smith, and Mikaylah Short; her brother, Billy Bason and wife, Nancy of Frost,
Texas; along with nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Bobby Williams in 2015 along with her parents.

The family would like to thank the staff at Medical Center and Star Hospice for
their wonderful care of her.
