Beverly Gallivan

Beverly Jean Gallivan, age 76, of Odessa, TX, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 in Odessa.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 68 pm at Sunset Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 10:00 am at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Father Mark Woodruff officiating.

Jean was born in Lamesa, TX to Okylene and George Gordon on August 14, 1938. She married David Gallivan on October 4, 1957 in El Paso, TX. She earned her Bachelors Degree from UTPB in science and English. Jean was employed by ECISD as a librarian and dedicated special education teacher for over 20 years.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Okylene and George Gordon and her sister, Phyllis Church.

She is survived by her husband, David Gallivan Sr. daughters, Diana Boykin and her husband Donnie Boykin, Donna Schoel and her husband Rick Schoel sons, David Gallivan Jr. and his wife Sandy Gallivan, Dusty Gallivan and his wife Monica Gallivan, her sisters, Katie Sherer and Georgia Callighan of El Paso, TX, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jason Schoel, Jeff Gallivan, Mitch Boykin, Michael Schoel, Jordan Gallivan and David M. Gallivan.

The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Home Hospice as well as the eighth floor nursing staff at Medical Center Hospital
