Bill Covey

Bill Eugene Covey, 81, passed away July 22, 2017 in Odessa.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 5 p.m. at 10673 W. 26th Street in Odessa, TX 79763. Burial will take place on Saturday, August 19, 2017 in Durant, OK at Silo Restland Cemetery.

Bill was born on April 17, 1936 to Ralph and Hazel Covey in Bonham, TX. He married the love of his life, Margie (Phelps) Covey on February 2, 1955 in Durant, Oklahoma. They moved to Odessa in 1961 and raised 4 children together. In the early 80's Bill started his own trucking company, Covey's Vacuum Truck Service. He sold his company and retired in the 90's and spent the rest of his days with Margie until her passing in January 2017.

Bill is preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Margie Covey, also his mother, Hazel Covey and two brothers, R.L. Covey and Donald Covey.

He is survived by his son, Jackie and wife Debbie Covey of Odessa, daughters, Glenda and husband Mark Doverspike of Odessa, Robin Covey of Odessa, Donna and husband Steve Doverspike of San Antonio, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Bill loved them all with all his heart.
