Billie Burnett

Billie Louise Burnett (MaMa), 99 of Odessa, Texas, went home to Heaven on Saturday, August 26th at Parks Nursing Home in Odessa.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, August 30 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Corey Speer of Immanuel Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Funeral Home.

Billie was born in Lingleville, Texas to William S. and Adeline Smith on July 23, 1918. She graduated as Valedictorian from Seagraves High School. She married John W. Burnett on September 2, 1938 in Seagraves, Texas. She worked as a homemaker. Billie was a longtime member and Sunday School Teacher at Eastside Baptist Church in Odessa.

Billie was preceded in death by her husband John and her son Johnnie.

Billie is survived by her son Jimmie Burnett and his wife Judi, her daughter Joyce LeMay and her husband Jim, Grandchildren John, Wesley, and Jason Burnett and Mitchell LeMay, six Great Grandchildren and one Great, Great Grandson.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff of Parks Nursing Home in Odessa and Home Hospice.

Her great love for God and Family was who and what she was about. A precious legacy.
