Billie David

Mrs. Billie Sparkman Brown David, age 91, of Midland, TX, passed away on February 7, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.

Billie was born November 4, 1925 to the late Monnie Sparkman and Alice Haden Sparkman in Minden, TX. She was a teacher at Kiddie Kollege and a partner with her husband, John Brown, in Liberty Reversing Units in Odessa. She taught Sunday School at First Baptist Church of Odessa and was a Sustainer Emeritus of the Junior League of Odessa. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. A treasured daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who will be greatly missed.

A private graveside service will be conducted at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Odessa. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at her home in Midland, Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 pm.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alice Haden Sparkman and Monnie and Eva Harris Sparkman; spouses, John Brown and Max David; son in law, Edward B. Weyman; brothers and sisters, Jack Sparkman, Carl Thomas Jones, Billy Amos Jones, Nora Ann Best, T.J. Jones, Robert Elmer (Bobby) Sparkman and John William (Buddy) Sparkman.

Survivors include her daughters, Candace Brown Rehders and husband, Herb of Midland, TX, Diana Weyman of Midland, TX; grandchildren, David Weyman and wife, Jamie of Wimberly, TX, Laura Lynn Myers and husband Paul of Dallas, TX,; great granddaughter, Anna Lynn Myers; brother, Charles Lynn Sparkman of Enumclaw, WA; sisters, Betty Jean Smith of Henderson, TX, Gladys Marie Crouch of Kilgore, TX, Eva Lois Siler of Carlisle, TX and Judy Nell Wilkins of Liberty City as well as numerous nieces and nephews who she greatly cherished and loved.

Honorary Pallbearers are her nephews, Jimmy Carl Jones, Joe Jones, Larry Jones, Paul Jones, Jeff Jones, David Jones, Lynn Smith, Neal Smith, Don Smith, David Best, Jon Best, Butch Vance, Monnie Sparkman, John Sparkman, Jacky Sparkman, Stephen Sparkman, William Boyd Siler, Rodney Goodwin, Bobby Sparkman, Cole Sparkman, Darren Reeves, Keith Johnson and friends: Chuck Holmstrom, John Zant, Gilbert Bates, Brent Bates, Phil Irwin and Dr. Gregory Bartha
