Billie Carrol Roeder peacefully passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022, in Odessa, Texas.
Born on November 17,1936, as Billie Carrol Lewis. Billie Roeder was raised in the deep Piney Woods of Buna, Texas. After childhood, Billie moved to Kilgore, Texas, where she graduated high school as the Homecoming Queen. Shortly thereafter, Billie met George K. Roeder, a Korean War veteran who lovingly asked for her hand in marriage. Billie accepted George’s proposal and they married in 1955. A year later, Billie and George welcomed a son into the world and added a daughter to their family two years after that. Together, Billie and George founded Roeder Hydraulics, a company from which Billie eventually retired.
Billie loved traveling, skiing in the Rocky Mountains especially, painting ceramics, swimming, and picking blueberries in East Texas. She was a voracious reader and always enjoyed a good crossword puzzle.
Billie is preceded in Heaven by her mother, Cassie Lewis; father, Carol Lewis; and stepfather, Slim Dickson.
Billie is survived by her son, Kenneth Wayne; daughter, Karen Elain; one grandchild, Kortney Ann Beaty; and three great-grandchildren, Aspen Paige, Ember Kate and Matthew Allen Beaty.
Billie Carrol was a great wife, loving mother, kind employer, and a beautiful person all-around.
