Billie Vardeman

Billie Burnell Vardeman, 89 of Odessa Texas, passed away August, 6, 2017 in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm, Monday, August 7, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Graveside funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2017 with Charles McBride of Westwood Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Bill was born January 5, 1928 to Harry Vardeman and Onnie Wood-Vardeman in San Saba, Texas. He married the love of his life Freddie Mae Fredricks on August, 5, 1950. He serviced the community as an electrician. He started his career first at El Paso Natural Gas from 1960 to the mid 1970's. Dennard Electric was his next endeavor, and later became self-employed until 2010. Bill was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church in Odessa, Texas.

Bill Vardeman is preceded in death by his wife, Freddie Vardeman and daughter, Becky Stephenson. His parents, Harry and Onnie Vardeman, his infant sister, Onnie, and his two brothers, Scooter and Woody Vardeman, and his sister-in-law Nelda Vardeman also preceded him in death.

Bill is survived by daughter Vickie and husband Jesse Beavers of Keller, Texas; also his son Alfred and wife Lana Vardeman of Colorado City, Texas. Five grandchildren, Josh Beavers and wife Kandace, Jeremy Schiff, Christopher Schiff, Jason Beavers and wife Maggie, and the most wonderful granddaughter, Summer Vardeman. Also survived two great grandchildren, Emma and Andy Beavers, and his four legged best friend, Lucy.

Honorary pallbearers are as follows: grandsons, Josh Beavers, Jeremy Schiff, Christopher Schiff, and Jason Beavers, nephews, Sammy Vardeman, and Bill Woolard.

Arrangements are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
