Billy Arbuckle

Billy Don Arbuckle, Sr. age 76, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013 after a lengthy illness.

Bill was born November 17, 1936 in Monahans, Texas to Homan Alvin Arbuckle, Sr. and Velma Lee Horn McNabb. He was married November 21, 1958 in Snyder, Texas to Frances McCright Arbuckle. Bill was a long time member of Eisenhower Church of Christ and 37th Street Church of Christ in Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his wife Frances Nadine Arbuckle, his mother Velma Lee Horne McNabb, his father, Homan Alvin Arbuckle, Sr. two brothers, Jimmy Clay Arbuckle and Homan Alvin Arbuckle, Jr. and his step father, Jim McNabb.

Survivors include his three children, James and Melinda Arbuckle of Little Rock, Arkansas, Donny and Gale Arbuckle of Bedford, Texas and Gayla and Gary Geneva of Odessa, Texas. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Michael Arbuckle, James Arbuckle, Jr. Meagan Webb, Kathryn Arbuckle, Scott Arbuckle, Alex Arbuckle, Sarah Arbuckle, Stephanie Arbuckle, Russell Burchfield, Jason Burchfield, and Brandy Burchfield 6 great grandchildren, Christopher Arbuckle, Mark Webb, Brody Burchfield, Addison Webb, John Webb and Lily Burchfield. He is also survived by sister, Jacqueline and Robert Richter of Houston, sister Sue and Jon Schwartz of Austin, brother Ronnie McNabb of Lubbock, and sisterinlaw, Ginger McCright of Ft. Worth.

Visitation is scheduled from 68 PM on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Eisenhower Church of Christ with Allen Weakland officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Garden.

Pallbearers will be Michael Arbuckle, James Arbuckle, Jr. Scott Arbuckle, and Alex Arbuckle.

The family of Bill Arbuckle wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Hassan, Dr. Ortega, ORMC nurses and staff, and the nurses and staff of the Hospice House of Odessa. Words can never express our sincere gratitude.
