Blake Amonett

Blake Amonett, 43, of Dallas formally of Odessa died at Methodist Hospital in Dallas on January 9, 2009. He was born July 6, 1965 in Seminole, Texas to Ron and Nancy Amonett. The family moved to Odessa in 1968, Blake attended Odessa schools and was a 1984 graduate of Permian High School. He joined Texas Electric in Odessa in 1984 as a meter reader and later became a customer service representative. He transferred to Dallas in 1992, and retired due to illness in 1998.

He is preceded in death by his mother Nancy Kay Amonett, his grandparents, Clyde and Juanita Amonett, and Wayne and Enid Dickenson.

He is survived by his father and step-mother Ron and Linda Amonett of Odessa, his brother Brent Amonett of Odessa. His step-sisters; Theresa Simpkins and husband Kevin of Odessa, Tina Wolsch of Austin. Step-brother, Jimmy Wolsch and wife April of Kyle, TX. His Step-Grandparents, Nell and Elwood Howell of Odessa. Blake is also survived by two nieces Hailey Simpkins, Lindsey Simpkins, and two nephews Spencer Wolsch, and Joshua Wolsch, numerous aunt, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Larry Hood officiating. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home.
