Bob J. Anderson, age 74, of Odessa, went to be with his heavenly father on June 30, 2014.
Visitation is on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 68 pm at Sunset Funeral Home.
Funeral services are on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 4 pm at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Betty Yocham officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Bob Anderson was born on March 26, 1940 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Radford and Leah Anderson. The family moved to Seminole, Texas in 1953. In 1964 Bob moved to Odessa and opened the first Western Food store. He proceeded to become an entrepreneur and successful grocery man for 45 years. He successfully built the modern day convenience store with the first drivethru window, cold fountain drinks, great customer service and good jokes.
Bob married his best friend and soul mate Lenora Hamilton on her birthday, June 18, 1969. They had four boys, Rocky, Ricky, Robby and Randy Wayne Anderson. Bob was a beloved son, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Bob never knew a stranger, was kind hearted, full of advice and knowledge that he so kindly shared. He always said, God has blessed me beyond my wildest dreams.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents Radford and Leah Anderson, son, Randy Wayne Anderson and grandson Mason Anderson.
He is survived by his loving wife Lenora Anderson, his sons, Rocky Anderson, Ricky Anderson and Robby Anderson, his four brothers, Raymond Anderson, Tom Anderson, Butch Anderson and Jay Anderson, six grandchildren, Cody, Ryan, Rantz, Randy Ranee, Ty and Dalton Anderson. He was blessed with two great grandchildren, Rhett and Rylyn Anderson.
