Bob Duree

Bob Duree, of Odessa TX, passed away September 2, 2018 at ORMC in Odessa TX.

Bob was born April 15, 1949, in Champaign, Illinois to Bob J. Duree and Barbara Carr. Eveline Duree was Bob's mother from his preschool years to his death. The family moved to West Texas and found work in the oil field. He graduated from Permian High School in 1967. Bob was an exceptional accountant. He grew his practice and reputation in personal and business tax and accounting in Odessa.

Bob was a Deacon and on the Board of Trustees at Crossroads Fellowships Church. He was a teacher and mentor of Celebrate Recovery and celebrated 27 years of sobriety. Bob often gave his testimony of how God saved his life and helped many find their path to our precious Savior.

Bob was an avid golfer and built relationships every time he walked on to the course. He was on the traveling team at Odessa Country Club and was known for his competitive attitude and intensity.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Bob and Eveline Duree, and brother, Stephen Wayne Duree.

He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Carla Jo Duree of Odessa; sons, Kyle Johnson and wife, Johnna, of Odessa, Jay Duree and wife, Brandi, of Whitehouse, James Arnold and wife Mari, of Albuquerque NM; daughter, Kim Marshall and husband, Gary, of Gardendale; brothers, David Duree and wife, Donna of Odessa, and Dan Duree of Midland; 9 grandchildren, Brannon Jordan, Lanie Marshall, Cassidy Fry, Harley Duree, Paige Johnson, Bobby Duree, Jonahs Arnold, John - John Johnson, Austin Arnold and numerous nieces and nephews.

After he found Christ Bob's life was all about forgiveness, restoration and reconciliation.

Pallbearers will be Mark Jones, Bobby Hill, Jim Stewart, Greg Burnett, Jim Bob McNeil, Mike Athey, Bobby Schwarz

Honorary Pallbearers are Sam Duree, Matt Duree, Rachel Duree, Dani Duree, Brannon Jordan, Chrystal Eubanks, Pete Wantiez.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 1:00 PM, at Crossroads Fellowship Church in Odessa TX. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family has designated Crossroads Fellowship Church for memorial contributions.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thank you to the many friends and extended family that helped us through with thoughts and prayers.
