Bob Riney

Bobby Wayne Riney, 80, of Wilson, Texas passed away on October 26,2021.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.

Bob was born in Slaton, TX to Fred Brookerson and Willie Mae Riney on April 27, 1941. He attended school in Slaton, TX. He married Rita Elaine Doss on November 18, 1978, in Crosbyton, Texas. Bob worked as a salesman for many years at Brakes and Wheels, Inc. in Odessa, Texas. Bob was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He enjoyed fishing and building racecars with his son, along with working in the yard. Bob loved spending time in the outdoors and being with his faithful canine companion, Buddy. Bob was a man of few words, but had a tremendous impact on those whose lives he was involved in.

Bob is preceded in death by his mother and father, Fred Brookerson and Willie Mae Riney; brothers, Larry, and Jimmy Riney; and son, Rickey Riney.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Rita Riney; daughters, Bobbi Tatom, Ashley Christensen; and son in law, Drew Christensen; brother, Mike Riney; sister, Dianne Shaha; and grandchildren, Alex Deleon, and Opal Tatom.
