Bobby Duke

It is with great sadness that the family of Bobby Ray Duke announces his passing. Bobby Ray Duke, 61, of Odessa, TX, went to be with his Heavenly Father on June 4, 2018 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM, Friday, June 8, 2018 at Northside Baptist Church in Odessa with Pastor Clydel Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Bobby Ray Duke was born in Houston, TX to J.W. Duke and Eva Nel Clary on April 18, 1957. He was raised in Hobbs, New Mexico, where he attended school. He later moved to Midland, Texas, where he operated numerous successful businesses. He was obsessed with fast cars, he was very passionate about his work and he loved his family dearly. He was very close to his church family and kept them close to his heart.

Bobby is preceded in death by his father, J.W. Duke, his step-mother, Tessie Duke, his step-father, Cecil Clary, and his beloved in-laws, Otho L. Williams and Lois V. Williams.

Bobby is survived by his son, Jay Duke and Jay's wife, Trisha and his grandson, Preston, his mother, Eva Nel Clary and three brothers, Billy, David and Lonnie, three step-siblings, Clifton, Bobby Clary and Diane Brown.

Memorials may be given in his name to the charity of your choice. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Kelly Luxton for being such a dear friend to Bobby throughout the years.
